Family Background

Srey Nouch is a 12-year-old girl from Prey Muol Village, Takeo Province, Cambodia. She lives with her parents and two siblings in a family that survives on about $12.50 (50,000 Riel) per day. Despite financial struggles, Srey Nouch is a bright and attentive student who is dedicated to her education. She especially enjoys Khmer literature and mathematics and excels in Khmer literature. Her dream is to become a teacher and help others through education. Even with hardships, she never misses school and is determined to complete Grade 12. Although her family has not yet come to faith, Srey Nouch attends church regularly, and her parents continue to support and encourage her education.
