Family Background

Kimsan is a 19-year-old boy from Chroy Neang Nguon Village, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. He lives with his parents and five siblings and is currently studying in Grade 9 at a local secondary school. He enjoys learning Chemistry and English, with a particular strength in Chemistry, and he dreams of becoming a teacher in the future. His family survives on about 40,000 Riel ($10) per day, which makes it very difficult to cover school-related expenses. Despite these challenges, Kimsan remains committed to his education and is determined to finish high school. As a Christian, he regularly attends church and serves in the Kids’ Club ministry, even though his family does not share his faith. He hopes to one day find a good job so he can support his family and create a brighter future.
