Family Background

Narin is a 12-year-old boy from Takeo Province, Cambodia. He lives with his parents and two siblings in a modest household and is known for being kind and responsible, often helping his parents and supporting his friends. His family survives on just 40,000 Riel (about $10) per day, making daily life and school expenses challenging. Despite these financial difficulties, Narin is determined to complete Grade 12 and pursue a better future. Though academics can be difficult, he remains committed, encouraged by his parents who strongly believe education will open doors for him. Narin’s resilience and positive attitude help him stay focused on his goals. As a Christian, he also finds hope and strength through his faith and active participation in his local church.
