Family Background

Milli is a 13-year-old girl from Takeo Province, Cambodia. She lives with her parents and two siblings in a crowded home shared with more than eight family members. Her family earns only about 40,000 Riel ($10) per day, which is barely enough to provide for everyone’s needs. Despite financial hardship, her parents always encourage her to continue school and pursue her education. Milli is a diligent student who is determined to finish Grade 12 and attend university in the future. Her dream is to become a doctor, a goal that reflects her desire to help others and improve her family’s life. As a devout Christian, she attends church regularly and participates in the children’s club ministry, where her faith strengthens her resilience and hope.
